The Old Saco Inn is situated on 65 acres of land and has 4 walking trails through the property. Trails are marked with color bands around the trees.
There is fabulous hiking all through and around Fryeburg. Something for everyone, from very strenuous to a mild stroll.

"Hikes In & Around Maine's Lake Region" by Marita Wiser is a comprehensive guide to the local trails. It is available from the Jockey Cap Store in Fryeburg for $8.50.
The White Mountains cover the eastern part of New Hampshire and extend into western Maine and offer a variety of easy to more strenous routes. Trails start about 20 minutes west of Fryeburg. See the NH Summer Guide's to hiking here.
