Cycling:

Beautiful scenery and quiet traffic patterns make cycling a pleasure in the Fryeburg area. There are on-road and off-road trails, uphill and flatter routes; something to satisfy all types of riding styles.

In 2008, the Casco Bay Bicycle Club held their rally in Fryeburg, and have mapped out some wonderful routes, all beginning and ending in Fryeburg. These range from 16.5 miles to over 100 miles. See their maps and cue sheets here.

The Mountain Division Rail Trail, which is under construction, will connect Fryeburg to Portland 52 miles away. When complete, it will connect nine communities along the way. Currently there are six miles of trail, connecting Windham, Gorham and Standish.
There are a lot of routes in the area that are family friendly.There are dirt road cycling routes as well.
